Péter Vajda was born in Kaposvár, Hungary, on Oct. 12th, 1982. He received his M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, Netherlands, in July 2006 and in Program Designer Mathematician from Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary, in July 2007. He performed his diploma work on selection mechanisms in evolution computing and on using prediction algorithms in human-computer interaction. From September 2007 to January 2012, he was research assistant and Ph.D. student in Professor Ebrahimi's group in Ecole Polytechnique Fédéral de Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland. He was involved in several projects such as, MPEG CDVS, Visnet II Network of Excellence, K-Space and PetaMedia. Since July 2012, he is Visiting Assistant Professor in Professor Bernd Girod's group in Stanford University, Stanford, USA. He is currently working in multimedia system: mobile visual search. He is a student member of IEEE. |
